Classes are creative, immersive, and sensitive, and are designed to:

Through projects, autobiographical narratives, music, literature, visual arts, and expressions of popular culture, students build meaning for the use of Portuguese in real and meaningful situations, respecting their individual rhythms, interests, and stages of development.
Proficiency levels
The levels take into account the learner’s previous relationship with the language and family culture, progressing from linguistic recognition to the expansion of repertoire and cultural fluency, through progressive sublevels.

Portuguese as Additional LanguageㆍPLA
The Portuguese as Additional Language course is designed for young people and adults, speakers of other languages, who wish to learn Portuguese for cultural, academic, or professional interests, or due to the need for social integration in Brazil or in contexts where Portuguese is used.
Classes prioritize:

the real use of the language in authentic contexts;

everyday social, educational, and cultural situations;

an understanding of language as a living expression of Brazilian culture.
Learning takes place in an interactive way, mediated by cultural and artistic resources that foster engagement, critical reflection, and the progressive development of communicative fluency.

Portuguese for Specific Purposes courses serve learners who need to develop linguistic competencies focused on particular contexts of language use, especially in professional, corporate, and academic fields.

The levels are organized according to the demands of the context in which the language is used, allowing learners to progress from basic command to confident and specialized performance in specific areas.

Portuguese for BusinessㆍPNE
Designed for professionals who seek to learn or improve Portuguese for the workplace, this course covers linguistic and communicative practices related to:

Portuguese for Academic PurposesㆍPFA
The Portuguese for Academic Purposes course is aimed at students and researchers who need to integrate into the university environment in Portuguese, such as:

students participating in South–South mobility, especially from Lusophone African countries and from Spanish- or French-speaking contexts.

Learning formats
